Clown cookie jar and six milk glass
tumblers. The clown painting appears on both sides
of the cookie jar and the tumblers. The tumblers
are in excellent condition and look as though they
were never used. The
cookie jar paint is in very good condition. There is
surface wear to the metal inside the cookie jar and
two small dents with paint scuffs; there is a
shallow crease on one side, with has not damaged the
paint. Overall, the cookie jar is lovely; we
routinely describe flaws, even if small. The
cookie jar is approximately 7 ½” tall at the top of
the can, 11” at the top of the finial and 6 7/8” in
diameter at the opening.
Tumblers are approximately 5 ¼”
tall and hold approximately 10 ounces.
Both the cookie jar and the
tumblers were produced by Hazel Atlas in the 1950s;
the cookie jar has the Hazel Ware Continental Can
Logo on the bottom.
