Extremely
rare and beautiful Old York Cream Soup and Saucer,
produced by Wedgwood. The impressed mark on the
underside of the dishes and the factory location
indicate that these items were produced between 1908
and 1920. Both the cream soup and saucer are
decorated with raised, multicolored flowers, and the
saucer has a scalloped edge. The colors are vivid.
Each piece is numbered. This set is in good
condition, with some noticeable imperfections. The
cream soup has a small ½” hairline crack at the top,
but no chips or crazing. The matching saucer has
one or two tiny fleabites on the face and the
underside, but no cracks or crazing. The set is
priced to more than compensate for its imperfections
at $40 for the set.
